Where To Take the Kids This Weekend: Lindsay Wildlife Museum

The Alexander Lindsay Wildlife Museum is a fantastic place to take your kids!  The Museum houses an impressive collection of wildlife native to California that includes bobcats, foxes, opossums, snakes, lizards, hawks, and even a bald eagle!  All of the animals that live at the museum came to the museum's wildlife hospital due to injury or illness and after treatment were deemed unfit to be released back in the wild.  I worked as a volunteer wildlife rehabilitator there a couple of years ago and it was a remarkable experience.  I can attest to the fact that the museum's mission is all about wildlife conservation.

They have a super-friendly staff that are more than willing to answer your, and your children's questions about the wildlife.  It is a great place to teach your children about natural world of California as well as to teach them about the importance of conservation.

The Lindsay Wildlife Museum is open to the public Wednesday- Sunday from 10am-5pm.  They are closed on Mondays and are only open for members are Tuesdays.
